Responsibilities of the Board of Deacons:
We are responsible for the preparation of the communion service sacraments. The board members bake the unleven bread used for the monthly communion.
Seven or eight times a year we provide church service for the residents of four different nursing homes, Vintage Park, Country Club Estates, North Point, and the Medical Lodge. We provide the music, read passages from the Bible, give devotions, share cookies and have fellowship with the residents. Thank you to all church members who assist us.
Each Sunday morning we provide a prayer time for Pastor Laurie prior to the morning service. We lift her and her family up with the coming service.
We also assist Pastor Laurie with hospital or home visits and make calls on church members and friends in need.
We also share prayer concerns through email and send cards of encouragement and care to those in need.
We have writing pens available to all new visitors to our church. Each visitor receives a “We Were Glad To See You” with an invitation to join us again.
